I will be signing books, answering questions, and reading excerpts from NEVER DIVIDED at San Francisco’s coolest indy book store Green Apple Books on the evening of Thursday, August 29th. Admission is free and libations will be served. Please stop by and say hello.
I am proud to announce that my next in-store book event for So Good It's Bad will be held at San Francisco's Green Apple Books, one of the coolest indie book stores in the Bay Area. The event starts at 7:00, but be sure to get there early so you can get lost in the store's labyrinthine stacks of new and used books, music, comics and toys. And once I've signed your book, answered your questions and read selected portions from So Good It's Bad to you, hey, you're on Clement Street, so why not have a beer in one of several nearby Irish pubs or have a delicious Bahn Mi--or both?
Green Apple Books is located at 506 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94118. Their phone number is 415-387-2272.
SO GOOD IT'S BAD, the latest novel from Todd Stadtman, is now ready to go to press for a planned June release. The book will be a direct sequel to PLEASE DON'T BE WAITING FOR ME, picking up with all of the still-living characters a year on from the events of the first novel. Together with a planned third novel, these books will constitute a trilogy provisionally entitled the SF PUNK TRIO. A website for the book containing more detailed info will be launched in the coming weeks. Until then, enjoy the above preview of the book's cover design by Andrew Nahem.
Todd will be stopping by Berkeley institution Moe's Books on the evening of Wednesday, December 6th to talk with readers and sign copies of PLEASE DON'T BE WAITING FOR ME. As reflected in the novel, Todd was born and raised in Berkeley, so this event should hold a lot of local interest. Moe's is located at 2476 Telegraph Ave., Berkeley, CA 94704. Phone number: (510)849-2087
Todd will be signing copies of his books PLEASE DON'T BE WAITING FOR ME and FUNKY BOLLYWOOD as part of San Diego's HORRIBLE IMAGININGS FILM FESTIVAL on Friday, September 8th and Saturday, September 9th. Now in it's seventh year, the festival was founded by blogger, podcaster, and horror movie scholar Miguel Rodriguez with the goal of showcasing "art and film that explores the darker or more macabre sides of the human condition" and has gone on to attract more devoted followers every year. The event will take place at the Museum of Photographic Arts, which is located at 1649 El Prado, right in the heart of Balboa Park, one of San Diego's most beloved tourist spots. If you're there, be sure to stop by, get a book signed and say hello.

WHAT: Pop Offensive is the monthly radio show that Todd hosts on Oakland's KGPC FM. The next episode will be coming up this Wednesday, July 12th, at 7pm Pacific. In honor of the release of PLEASE DON'T BE WAITING FOR ME, he will be playing nothing but old school punk rock songs. If you're reading the book and are curious to hear the sounds that inspired it (or if you're an old punk eager to relive the glory days), here's your chance. While only those within a stones throw of Oakland's Lake Merritt will be able to hear the show on an actual radio, fans worldwide can stream the show live from the KGPC website.
UPDATE: The Archived version of this episode can now be streamed from the Pop Offensive Archives.
